The Arts Venues on Campus Walking Tour was held Saturday Sept. 20.
The theme for the September tour is “Arts Venues on Campus” to highlight the places on the UTEP where both the UTEP community and the public can enjoy art and attend musical and theatrical performances.
Participants learned about UTEP’s ties to the Kingdom of Bhutan through many of the buildings on campus.
The theme for the August tour is “Bhutan on Campus.” The tour will be offered to the public at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 23.
UTEP has been around for one hundred years, but most people only drive past it on the freeway, or only see a little bit of the campus when they go to football or basketball games. This weekend, you’re going to get the chance to see so much more of UTEP than you probably ever have.
More than one dozen people attended the first of three UTEP History Walking Tours.
The Centennial Tour Series was created to showcase UTEP’s rich history and beautiful campus throughout the University’s Centennial Celebration in 2014.
