As part of the Centennial Celebration, the tradition of Orange Fridays works to spread Miner Pride across campus and throughout the community every week. The tradition was instituted by the Student Government Association in fall 2011. We invite everyone to join in!

Why Orange?

UTEP’s original colors were burnt orange and white, adopted form the University of Texas, but in the early 1980s light blue was added and the orange was modified. In 1999, the present colors were adopted—navy blue and bright orange with silver accent.
