Throughout 2014, the Centennial Museum and Welcome Center has presented the Centennial Exhibit Series, showcasing a variety of exhibits dedicated to the first 100 years of the University of Texas at El Paso. The final exhibit in the series is an interactive exhibit showcasing the entries and winners of the Centennial Photo Contest. The exhibit opened with a public reception at 2 p.m. Nov. 8.
The Centennial Photo Contest was open to UTEP students, alumni, faculty and staff. Participants were able to submit photographs in variety of categories, including: UTEP Landscapes, Student Life, UTEP Traditions, Arts on Campus, Centennial Celebration Events and Athletic Events. The first round of judges chose the photographs to be included in the exhibit while the second round of judges chose the winning entries.
Those winners were announced at the exhibit’s opening reception at the Centennial Museum. The event included refreshments and live music. The exhibit will be on display through Jan. 15, 2015.
