Workers Prepare Area Around Geology Lawn, Lhakhang

By on October 21, 2014

Workers almost have completed the concrete seats and curbs and will begin to add soil to the bottom of the planned Geology Lawn in preparation for planting the grass. They will turn their attention to the arroyos and acequia water channels around the lhakhang, the Bhutanese cultural center, as well as begin rough grading of the ground around the lhakhang and the Fox Fine Arts Center. On the northern tip of the Centennial Plaza project, crews have formed the sidewalks and started the final grading along Kerbey Avenue between the Psychology and Union buildings. The handrails are in place in front of the Union Dinner Theatre and landscapers continue to plant shrubs in the area. Workers plan to stripe Kerbey and add the signs for ADA parking up to the flagpoles by the end of November.
