The Stanlee and Gerald Rubin Center for the Visual Arts for presenting artists Gaspar Enriquez and Rachelle Thiewes with a Centennial Access and Excellence Award. Today, Rachelle Thiewes, also a member of the 2014 Commission, also presented an endowment for UTEP art faculty.

What an incredible Centennial Celebration at the Rubin Center! We honored two amazing artists Rachelle Thiewes and Gaspar Enriquez with the Access and Excellence in the Arts Award and had two recipients of the MCAD’s Artist Incubator Program, Zeque Penya and Xochitl Rodriguez, share their magic with us! Rachelle Thiewes gifted the Dept of Art with a $25,000 endowment and the Rubin Center gifted Bowie High School with the mural dedicated to Gaspar Enriquez. We will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary in 2015. Stay tuned for an exciting year filled with quality exhibitions, collaborations and programming!
