By on July 14, 2014

Work continues on the boulder retaining wall near Union Building West and should be completed in mid-July. The boulders were mined from the campus and also are used in the decorative and functional acequias, water conduits for irrigation. Passers-by also will notice the construction of a retaining wall near the Psychology Building starting in late July. The wall will have a rock façade. Contractors also will begin to pour the necessary ramps and sidewalks to serve the area. Around the same time, crews will begin to create two shelters that will flank the front doors of the Psychology Building. The shelters will include concrete benches and tables. The contractors have extended their plaza work hours.5969
