Visitors who plan to drive to The University of Texas at El Paso for the Feb. 27 Texas Tribune symposium on demographic change are encouraged to park at the Glory Road Transfer Center and Parking Garage, 100 E. Glory Road.
University shuttles will transport symposium participants the half mile from the garage to the Hilton Garden Inn at University Avenue and Oregon Street. Union Building East, where the symposium will take place, is a short walk from there. The garage will charge $10 for the day.
Individuals with limited mobility may speak to an attendant at the traffic control station on University Avenue next to the Hilton.
The limited available parking is the result of the University’s Campus Transformation construction projects that will create a safer, more pedestrian friendly campus core. The campus transformation will be one of the lasting legacies of the University’s Centennial Celebration in 2014.
