and Andrea Vazquez
Feb. 7, 8*, 13**, 14***, 15 @ 8:00p.m.

In honor of the UTEP Centennial, join us for an exciting evening of original choreography. Stravinsky’s Pestruska, Gershwin’s Three Preludes and the kingdom of Bhutan serve as the inspiration for this year’s annual dance concert. Travel through time with Pobrero el Campesino in a new ballet of politics and love in revolutionary Mexico that’s based on ballet’s beloved puppet, Petrushka. Tap your feet to the jazzy rhythms of George Gershwin’s Three Preludes and journey through the elements of earth, water, fire, air, and space with The Call of the Raven, a new dance based on the principles of the pre-Buddhist religion of Bon still practiced in Bhutan.
