This afternoon dozens of happy children and their parents swarmed the Centennial Museum for a birthday party celebration of UTEP’s 100th and the Junior League of El Paso’s 80th birthdays. The kids were treated to party hats, a scavenger hunt throughout the museum, prizes, candy, and a giant birthday cake. Paydirt Pete and President Natalicio also greeted guests. Upon departing, each child received a copy of the new activity book, “How Paydirt Pete Became a Miner,” created specifically for the Centennial Celebration.
