Three new products designed exclusively for UTEP’s Centennial Celebration capture the “taste” of our rich heritage and unique setting. The Centenario Salsa Product Line features delicious salsa, chile con queso, and bean dip, each made from the finest, all natural ingredients.
“Destiny planted UTEP at the sun-drenched mountain pass where one community now mixes two nations and three states with people and cultures from all over the world.”
– Centenario Salsa
“UTEP’s architecture imitates the mountaintop fortresses of the Kingdom of Bhutan, a hidden land where happiness reigns and the national dish Ema Datshi blends chili peppers with cheese.”
– Centenario Chile con Queso
“In the olden days, UTEP was a mining school where hardy students blasted tunnels on campus with dynamite, whitewashed the M on the mountain, and relished a traditional bean feed.”
– Centenario Bean Dip
The products are manufactured by Desert Pepper Trading Company and the labels were designed by UTEP faculty member Antonio Castro H. All three are available for purchase at the Centennial Welcome Center gift shop in the Centennial Museum.
