If you left your house today for work or class, you probably noticed an abundance of the color orange at your business or school.
Orange Fridays were established in 2011 to spark pride & camaraderie among Miner students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters of the UTEP Miners.
The UTEP community is made up of a wide range of cultures & backgrounds, and Orange Fridays are a way to display a sense of community in the school’s history and as it makes its move to be the first national research university with a 21st century demographic.
Make sure to display your Miner Pride on Orange Fridays by wearing our school colors. You might even earn yourself a discount at a local business!
Also, post your pictures wearing Orange on UTEP’s Facebook page and on the UTEP100Years Facebook page.
Jessica Molinar Muñoz is the director of communications for UTEP's Centennial Office.
