Tonight, a special event provided a sneak preview into the new Welcome Center at the Centennial Museum. First, a crowd assembled in the courtyard by the UGCL to hear President Natalicio comment on UTEP’s present success and coming Centennial Celebration.
The crowd then moved to the steps of the Centennial Museum where Director Maribel Villalva welcomed everyone, GECU CEO Crystal Long expressed her well wishes, and Tripper Goodman raised a toast to UTEP’s future by raising a glass of UTEP’s new Centennial wine. See more photos of the event here.
Inside the guests saw the new exhibits and mingled. The gift shop opened with many of the new Centennial keepsakes–the Centennial wine, the Centenario Salsa Products, a scarf and tie, coasters, and a mascot history t-shirt.
The big orange box in front of the museum will not be opened until the kickoff party for the 100-day Countdown on Monday, September 23.
