I am pleased to announce that the 2014 Braden Aboud Memorial 10K/5K Run/Walk will be turning orange in celebration of UTEP’s 100th Anniversary! Orange backpacks, t-shirts, and promotional materials will soon be available. The Braden Aboud Memorial Foundation will also open up grant funding to UTEP student organizations that want to form teams for this race in order to earn funding for their programs. The race is scheduled for Sunday, May 18th, 2014.

Last year’s event drew nearly 8500 participants from approximately 100 area schools. The Braden Aboud Memorial Foundation was formed in loving memory of 14 year old Braden, who died in a skiing accident on February 4th, 2007. Braden’s Foundation has evolved into a volunteer organization that actively promotes community involvement and goodwill. This Run/Walk is the financial catalyst behind the various projects initiated by the Foundation on an annual basis, that serve as outreach programs to those in need of assistance.

Thank you, Braden Aboud Memorial Foundation, for joining the celebration! B STRONG!
