I am pleased to announce that El Paso Pro-Musica will dedicate a concert to UTEP’s honor as part of our Centennial Celebration. The concert will be held on January 28, 2014, as part of the Chamber Music Festival, in the Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall. It will feature NPR’s Rob Kapilow in a thrill-ride concert called “What Makes It Great,” a sort of “Classical Music 101″ guide to help all listeners understand and appreciate great music.
“This is a way for El Paso Pro-Musica to celebrate UTEP, it’s Centennial, and how you are not only important to our organization, but to the entire community,” said Felipa Solis, executive director of El Paso Pro-Musica. “UTEP also paves the way for the arts throughout El Paso.”
UTEP and El Paso Pro-Musica have had a long-standing relationship. Their Artistic Director, Zuill Bailey is a Professor of Cello in the Department of Music and the majority of the Chamber Music Concerts are held at the Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall.
Thank you, El Paso Pro-Musica, for joining the celebration!
